By downloading or using SuperEar, you agree to these terms. They're deliberately short and written in plain English.
The license
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use SuperEar on any Mac you own or control. You may not redistribute, resell, decompile, or reverse-engineer the app.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you suspect someone else has accessed your account, let us know at hello@superear.app.
Acceptable use
Don't use SuperEar to break the law, violate someone's privacy, or record people without their consent where that consent is legally required. We assume you'll use it for what it's for: dictating your own speech into your own apps.
Updates
SuperEar updates automatically via Sparkle so you get the latest fixes and features. You can disable auto-updates in Settings. We may release updates that change or remove features.
Payment and refunds
If you purchase a paid license, the purchase is final unless otherwise required by law. If something went wrong with your order or the app isn't working, email hello@superear.app within 14 days and we'll sort it out.
No warranty
SuperEar is provided "as is." We test it carefully, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly accurate. Transcription results depend on the model, your audio, and your environment.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SuperEar and its creator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for SuperEar in the past 12 months.
Termination
You can stop using SuperEar and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll update the date at the top and, for meaningful changes, let you know in the app.
